Islamska staten har under en längre tid tillåtits härja i bland annat Syrien, detta trots att den militära stormakten USA säger sig försöka stoppa islamisterna. Om man tittar på det videomaterial som VICE News kommit över kan man undra varför Islamska staten ännu inte bara är ett minne blott.
Videoklippet är filmat i norra Irak och man uppges strida mot Kurdiska Peshmerga-styrkor. Islamisten som bar videokameran uppges nu vara död.
