HÄLSINGLAND. 60 asylsökande ska nu tas emot av Njutångergården där ägarna kämpar för att få in ytterligare 600 innan årsskiftet.

Migrationsverket har slutit ett avtal med ägarna till Njutångersgården i Njutånger om att hyra ut 30 rum för 60 asylplatser. Avtalet är ett led i ett rikstäckande projekt med just denna formen av boende. Med hänsyn till lägenhetsbrist avser projektet rum i korridorer med gemensamt kök och gemensam dusch.

– När de boende lagar sin egen mat får de högre dagersättning. Det ger mer rörelsefrihet. Njutångersgården passar också bättre för barn, än stora boenden, säger Lars Ulander, enhetschef på Migrationsverket.

Migrationsverket söker nu efter ytterligare 600 asylplatser innan årsskiftet och menar att även dessa kan bli aktuella på Njutångersgården efter att anläggningens kök har renoverats.

Njutånger är en tätort i Hudiksvalls kommun med knappt 900 invånare. Den egna sysselsättningen är liten och består främst av jordbruk och viss turism. De flesta arbetspendlar till närliggande orter.
