IRAN. Det Islamiska revolutionsgardet lyckades under onsdagen placera en militär satellit i omloppsbana. USA beklagar sig över Irans framgång.

Enligt Iran Front Page (IFP) har Irans Islamiska revolutionsgarde lyckats med bedriften att få en militär satellit i omloppsbana runt jorden. Enligt nyhetsbyrån AFP har Iran försökt att få upp en militär satellit vid namn Zafar (seger) den 9 februari men misslyckats. Den nuvarande har namnet Noor (ljuset) och kommer enligt Iran att ge landet en större utvecklingspotential när det kommer till deras rymdprogram.

USA som själva har flera militära satelliter varnar att detta är ett led i Irans ballistiska missilprogram men Iran slår tillbaka mot USA:s retorik och hävdar att de följer resolutionerna i FN:s säkerhetsråd.
