Italiensk polis slog till mot frimurarloge – 27 gripna

UTRIKES. 27 personer har gripits under en polisräd mot en italiensk frimurarloge.

Under en räd som italiensk polis genomförde mot en frimurarloge i den sicilianska staden Castelvetrano greps 27 personer, som nu misstänks för bland annat drogsmuggling, korruption och mutbrott.

Bland de misstänkta finns före detta och nuvarande politiker, tjänstemän och poliser, som alltså tillhört vad som pekas ut som ett kriminellt nätverk. Genom att vissa av de misstänkta funnits inom rättsväsendet har man exempelvis kunnat påverka pågående brottsutredningar genom att manipulera bevismaterial.

Utöver de 27 gripna har polisen även förhört 10 andra som misstänks för att ha hjälpt till med den kriminella verksamheten.
