Man gripen för våldtäkt på nioåring

BROTT. En man har gripits av polis misstänkt för att ha försökt våldta en nioårig flicka i Örebro på onsdagsmorgonen då hon var på väg till fritids.

Under torsdagskvällen greps en man som misstänks för ett våldtäktsförsök på en nioårig flicka i Örebro på onsdagsmorgonen. Det var när flickan var på väg till fritids som mannen ska ha försökt förgripa sig på henne, något som stoppades av en kvinna som hörde flickans skrik.

Mannen är på sannolika skäl misstänkt för våldtäktsförsök.
— Det är utredningsarbetet som har lett fram till att misstankarna mot en person stärkts hela tiden, säger Anders Sjöberg, polisområdeskommunikatör hos polisen till Sveriges radio.

Polisens utredning i fallet kommer fortsätta. Polisen är samtidigt förtegen om information om den misstänkte gärningsmannen:
— Det är inget jag kan gå ut med nu, säger Anders Sjöberg till SR.

Flickan fördes efter övergreppet till Universitetssjukhuset i Örebro för vård, men hon skadades inte fysiskt och kunde efter en kort tid lämna sjukhuset. Den gripne mannen förnekar brott.
