RYSSLAND. Statyn som restes i Sankt Petersburg 2013, föreställandes en Iphone, har nu tagits ner efter att Apples vd kommit ut som homosexuell.

I januari 2013 restes en staty upp på ett universitetsområde i Sankt Petersburg, Ryssland. Statyn föreställde en två meter hög Iphone och skulle vara ett monument för Apples avlidne grundare Steve Jobs. Men i veckan togs monumentet ner och orsaken till det ska vara att Apples nya vd, Tim Cook, tidigare i veckan kom ut som homosexuell.

Det var företaget ZEFS som valde att plocka ner statyn och de ska ha uppgett på en radiostations hemsida att statyn bryter mot Rysslands anti gay-lagar som antogs förra året.

”Efter det att Apples vd Tim Cook öppet propagerade för sodomi, togs statyn ned i enlighet med ryska lagar för att skydda barn från information som uppmanar dem att förneka traditionella familjevärderingar”, ska det ha stått på hemsidan. Vidare ska ZEFS har skrivit att ”ryska lagar förbjuder propaganda för homosexualitet och andra sexuella perversioner bland unga”.
