Polisen: Tiggarläger omsätter 10 miljoner

HÄLSINGLAND. Trots att du bara kan se småslantar i muggarna omsätter tiggare 10 miljoner kronor per år. Och det bara i Hälsingland.

Ett tiggarläger som polisen gjorde en polisinsats mot i mars omsätter 10 miljoner kronor per år. Detta avslöjar polisen i Hälsingland som också redgjort för detta i riksdagen.

I rapporten framgår att polisen spanade på ”EU-medborgare” under en treveckorsperiod och i mars genomförde en större insats mot ett läger som bestod av 150 medlemmar.

Polisen misstänker att medlemmar av gruppen gör sig skyldig till ett antal brott så som människohandel, skattebrott och prostitution.

– Svårigheterna innebär inte att vi är ointresserade av att utreda. Vi har lagt mycket resurser, anhållit folk för människohandel, men det har varit otroligt svårt att lagföra någon, säger Lars Fredin, tf polisområdeschef i Norra Gävleborg, till Hela Hälsingland.

Enligt en skattejurist på Skatteverket utgör gåvor till tiggare i sig inte skattebrott. Däremot kommer saken i en annan dager om någon beordrar tiggarna att tigga och sedan förvaltar över pengarna.

Tiggarna i lägret uppger till polisen att de tjänar runt 300 kronor skattefritt per dag. Enligt polisens uträkningar innebär det att tiggarna i lägret omsätter mer än 10 miljoner kronor under ett år.
