Svart kvinna satte eld på sig själv och ljög om “hatbrott”

En rättsmedicinsk undersökning visar att den svarta kvinnan Sharmeka Moffitt ljög om att tre medlemmar från Ku klux klan hade tänt eld på henne.

I förrgår rapporterade Aftonbladet om det påstådda rasistdådet i en artikel med rubriken ”Ku klux klan tände eld på kvinna”. Aftonbladet skrev dramatiskt:

”Först hällde de tre männen i vita huvor brandfarlig vätska på Sharmeka Moffitt, 20.
Sedan tände de på.
Nu vårdas hon på sjukhus med brännskador över halva kroppen.”

Nu vet vi att detta inte stämmer. En rättsmedicinsk undersökning visar att alla spår leder till Sharmeka Moffitt själv och inte till några okända män. Moffitts fingeravtryck fanns på såväl den tändare som tändvätskeflaska som man nu har undersökt. Utredarna tror att Moffitts använt tandkräm till att rita ”KKK” och rasistiska tillmälen på sin bil. DNA-bevis pekar också ut Sharmeka Moffitt.

Att Sharmeka Moffitt har hittat på hatbrottet framkom under gårdagen, men Aftonbladet har ännu inte skrivit om detta.
