Terrordåd i Edmonton lämnade fem skadade

KANADA. På lördagskvällen lokal tid körde en bilburen misstänkt terrorist rakt in i en polis i Edmonton. Sedan började han att knivhugga polisen och körde över ytterligare personer under flykten på väg därifrån.

Strax efter åtta på lördagskvällen lokal tid i Edmonton, Kanada, så körde en vit bil in i en polis vid en kontroll. Efter det ska en man vid namn Abdulahi Hasan Sharif ha klivit ur bilen och knivhuggit samma polis ett flertal gånger.

I den efterföljande polisjakten så ska Sharif ha kört in i fyra fotgängare som skadades. Det är under söndagskvällen fortfarande oklart i vilket tillstånd dessa befinner sig. Polismannen som blev attackerad fördes till sjukhus men hans skador ska inte vara kritiska.

Polisen, som kunde gripa Sharif på plats, hittade en IS-flagga i bilen och händelsen utreds nu som ett terrorbrott.
