Tolv bilar utsatta för brandattentat i Umeå

Tolv bilar brann under natten till söndagen på Tunnelbacken och Ersboda i Umeå natten mot söndag.

I en av de utbrända bilarna låg en död hund.

Det första brandlarmet kom runt tio över ett, natten mot söndag, då ett antal bilar parkerade på Ystarvägen på Ersboda i Umeå brann.

Ett garage bredvid parkeringen på Ystarvägen förstördes också i branden.

Vid halv två kom nästa larm, då fler bilar hade antänts på Gluntens väg på Tunnelbacken.

— Det brann fem bilar på Ystarvägen och sedan sju bilar till på Gluntens väg, berättade SOS alarms operatör.

— När räddningstjänsten kom till Ystarvägen hittade man en hund avliden i en av bilarna. Det brann också i garaget och vi fick ta en kranbil som lyfte bort plåttaket så att inte branden skulle spridas vidare, säger Patrik Juhlin, inre befäl vid räddningstjänsten.

Eftersom att det handlar om flera bilar som har brunnit utreder polisen ärendet som mordbrand. Polisen säger sig vara intresserad av allmänhetens iakttagelser.
