Två asylsökare anhållna för försök till mordbrand

MASSINVANDRING. Två manliga asylsökare sitter anhållna misstänkta för försök till mordbrand. Männen ska ha försök att anlägga en brand på ett asylboende i Boden.

Det var under måndagsmorgonen som en 24-årig asylsökare försökte tända eld på ett asylboende i Boden. Invandraren misslyckades dock och kunde gripas omgående. Även asylsökarens kamrat, en 36-årig man, greps och anhölls sedan, skäligen misstänkt för medhjälp till mordbrand. Båda männen bor på det aktuella asylboendet och vad som föranledde försöket till att elda ner det är ännu oklart.

Åklagaren i fallet, Ulrika Schönbeck, säger att man är i utredningens början och att flera förhör har hållits och att fler personer kommer att höras.

Händelsen rubriceras som försök till grov mordbrand och det ska bero på att det bor ett flertal personer i boendet och att en eventuell spridning skulle vara livsfarlig.
