MUSIK. Denna vecka presenterar Nordfront det brittiska bandet Skrewdriver med låten ”I Can See The Fire”.

Skrewdriver var ett brittiskt rockband som grundades av Ian Stuart Donaldson 1976, först som ett ickepolitiskt punkband innan det några år senare 1982 startades upp igen som ett band med ett klart nationalistiskt budskap. Bandet och frontfiguren Donaldson räknades som en av pionjärerna inom genren ”Rock Against Communism” och spelade en aktiv roll i att bygga upp en stor nationalistisk konsert- och musikscen i Europa och USA på 80- och 90-talet.

Skrewdriver leddes av Donaldson i över 20 år innan han tragiskt gick bort i en bilolycka 1993. Detta efter att ha givit ut ett tjugotal musikaliska verk både med Skrewdriver, som soloartist samt med andra projekt som sträcker mellan musikgenrer som punk och rock till akustiska ballader och bluegrass.

Veckans låt är hämtad från Skrewdrivers fjärde album ”White rider” från 1987.
