Gyllene gryning i hjälpaktion för offer i jordbävningsdrabbade Kefalonia

GREKLAND. Gyllene gryning var igår på plats på ön Kefalonia som nyligen drabbats av flera jordskalv.

Nyligen drabbades den grekiska ön Kefalonia av jordbävning och ett stort efterskalv. Ett tjugotal personer har skadats av fallande föremål och många invånare har nu valt att bo i sina båtar av rädsla för nya jordskalv. Undantagstillstånd utlystes efter den första jordbävningen i slutet av januari och kaos råder med förstörda byggnader och vägar.

Under gårdagen utförde Gyllene gryning en hjälpaktion i staden Lixouri som ligger på ön. 40 ton vatten och annat bistånd delades ut till invånarna i staden. Gyllene grynings medlemmar besökte de räddningstält som rests av den grekiska armén och det tillfälliga sjukhus som upprättats i stadens gymnasium. Parlamentsledamöterna Ilia Kasidiaris och Konstantinos Barbarousis deltog under hjälpaktionen.
