Knivattack på asylboende i Västervik

Under natten till måndagen gick en 41-årig asylsökande amok på asylboendet beläget på den femstjärniga campingplatsen Lysingsbadet i Västervik. Han attackerade tre andra asylanter med kniv och hotade dem alla till döden. Han lyckades hugga en av de andra i handen men de andra undkom skador. Polisen tillkallades och mannen flydde från platsen.

Mannen återvände senare på måndagen till sin stuga på asylboendet och polisen fick vetskap om detta och kunde gripa mannen. Han blev senare under eftermiddagen även anhållen misstänkt för misshandel, försök till misshandel och olaga hot.

Poliser är numera ett vanligt inslag på Lysingsbadet

Nordfront har tidigare rapporterat om polisingripanden vid asylboendet i Västervik, senast bara för två veckor sedan då minst 10 asylanter greps misstänkta för bland annat stöld och att illegalt vistats i landet.

Ett annat asylboende har även upprättats i grannorten Verkebäck där ett gammalt behandlingshem ska ta mot runt 100 asylsökanden. 2005 var folkmängden i Verkebäck 83st invånare.
