Gab blockeras av Googles appbutik

CENSUR. Den yttrandefrihetsvänliga plattformen Gabs mobilapplikation har nu blockerats av Google.

Mobilapplikationen för den yttrandefrihetsvänliga plattformen Gab, som är ett alternativ till Twitter, har nu tagits bort från appbutiken Google Play som används av Android-telefoner. Därmed går applikationen inte längre att ladda ner.

Den anledning som anges av Google är att applikationen bryter mot regler rörande exempelvis ”hets mot folkgrupp”, då man genom applikationen kan nå innehåll som Google inte sympatiserar med.

Andrew Torba, VD för Gab, påpekade under gårdagen i ett inlägg på plattformen att detsamma givetvis även gäller Googles egna webbläsare Chrome, som kan laddas ner via Google Play.
