Kim Jong-Un och Trump ska träffas nästa månad

UTRIKES. Enligt ett besked från Vita huset kommer Kim Jong-Un och Donald Trump träffas i slutet av februari.

USA:s president Donald Trump och Nordkoreas ledare Kim Jong-Un kommer att träffas i slutet av februari, meddelar Vita huset. Platsen för mötet är än så länge inte offentliggjord. Det förekommer dock spekulationer om att mötet kan komma att ske i Vietnam.

Mötet ser ut att bli av efter att Trump spenderat en och en halv timme med att förhandla med den nordkoreanska generalen Kim Yong Chol under fredagseftermiddagen.

Under mötet förväntas Trump försöka övertala nordkoreanerna om att avveckla sitt kärnvapenprogram, något man kom överens om vid det senaste mötet. Kritiker menar dock att landet inte påbörjat någon avveckling av kärnvapenprogrammet.
