Veckans låt

Magnum är ett brittiskt rockband som bildades 1972. Deras musikstil är lite svår att definiera, vissa vill kalla dem progressiva medans andra kallar dem mer symfoniska. Personligen lutar jag mest mot att placera dem i en ganska smal musikgenre som kallas AOR, Album Orientated Rock. Detta innebär att musikerna siktar på att göra hela album som är bra och inte bara hitlåtar som ska sälja och göra profit. Låtarna är ofta känslomässiga och trallvänliga men det finns ändå ett visst mått av hårdhet utan att för den delen bli ren hårdrock.

Magnum är just nu aktuella med sitt 23:e album, Here Comes the Rain. Låten som vi presenterar denna vecka är öppningspåret och den är en slags antikrigslåt vilken gör den ännu mer aktuell i dessa krigshetsande tider.
