Fyra amerikanska soldater dödade i Afghanistan

UTRIKES. Fyra amerikanska soldater har dödats på endast fyra dagar i Afghanistan.

Fyra amerikanska soldater har dött på endast fyra dagar i Afghanistan. I lördags ska en soldat ha dödats i en eldstrid mot Al-Qaida i Nimrozprovinsen. Amerikanska militärkällor tror också att han kan ha avlidit efter att ha träffats av så kallad ”friendly fire”.

Under tisdagen dog tre amerikaner efter att ha kört på en vägbomb. Ytterligare tre personer ska ha skadats av bomben.

Totalt är antalet dödade amerikanska soldater i Afghanistan i år nu uppe i 10. De amerikanska trupperna ägnar sig numera mest åt flygräder mot talibaner samt utbildning av afghanska regeringstrupper, varför förlusterna inte är så stora som till exempel 2010 då 440 dog i strid.

Talibanernas framgångsrika gerillakrig mot USA och dess marionettregim i Kabul har visat sig så pass framgångsrik att USA nu söker fredssamtal med den pashtunsk-muslimska gruppen.
