Tolkföretag DO-anmäls för diskriminering

INRIKES. Ett tolkföretag har anmälts till Diskrimineringsombudsmannen (DO) för diskriminering efter att företaget ska ha avbrutit en pågående anställningsintervju när det blev känt att den arbetssökande kvinnan inte hälsade genom att ta i hand.

Diskrimineringsombudsmannen har beslutat att stämma ett tolkföretag för diskriminering efter att företaget ska ha avbrutit en pågående anställningsintervju när det blev känt att den arbetssökande kvinnan inte hälsade genom att ta i hand.

Företaget hänvisar till att man har en neutralitetspolicy men enligt DO så har kvinnan diskriminerats och i sin stämning till Arbetsdomstolen begär de att företaget ska betala 80 000 kronor i diskrimineringsersättning till kvinnan.

DO ifrågasätter i första hand att företaget vid det aktuella tillfället hade en neutralitetspolicy som tog sikte på uttryck för religion.
