MUSIK. Denna vecka presenterar Nordfront det kanadensiska black metal bandet Dark Forest och deras låt Under The Northern Fullmoon.

Dark Forest grundades som ett enmansprojekt av kanadensaren David Parks 2003. På sin hemsida skriver Parks att visionen med projektet var att skapa en episk och atmosfärisk typ av metal med rötter i vår historia, arv och natur.

2006 släpptes Dark Forests debutalbum med titeln Aurora Borealis och marknadsfördes då som Vinländsk hednisk black metal, vilket förstår syftar på Vinland som det namn vikingarna en gång gav den amerikanska kontinenten.

Musiken är en väldigt episk och atmosfärisk black metal med hedniska och naturromantiska texter som ofta berör nordisk historia och kultur. Veckans låt Under The Northern Fullmoon kommer från debutalbumet Aurora Borealis och är en hyllning till Norden, dess kämpar och forna gudar.
