UTRIKES. Brasiliens kulturminister får sparken efter ett uttalande som liknade ett Goebbelscitat.

Brasiliens kulturminister Roberto Alvim sparkas efter att ha gjort ett uttalande om vilken riktning han önskar att brasiliansk konst ska ta:

— Den brasilianska konsten under det kommande decenniet ska vara heroisk och nationalistisk med stor kapacitet för känslomässigt engagemang, liksom djupt engagerad i vårt folks brådskande ambitioner – eller så blir det ingenting.

Detta ansågs vara för likt ett citat av Joseph Goebbels på samma tema. Kulturministern kallade det hela en tillfällighet, med valde att stå på sig:

— Men meningen i sig är perfekt. Hjältemod och folkets ambitioner är det jag vill se i landets konst.

President Jair Bolsonaro tar dock avstånd:

— Jag upprepar att vi tar avstånd från totalitära folkmordsideologier, liksom alla referenser till dessa.

— Vi har ett fullkomligt och obegränsat stöd till det judiska samfundet, som är våra vänner och som har samma värderingar.
