Erdogan: “USA stödjer IS”

MELLANÖSTERN. Turkiets president Erdogan går nu ut och anklagar NATO-allierade USA för att stödja Islamska staten.

Under en presskonferens i Turkiets huvudstad Ankara hävdade president Erdogan att USA-ledda styrkor direkt stöttat kurdiska terrorgrupper samt Islamska staten.

Relationerna mellan de två NATO-länderna har blivit allt frostigare på sista tiden, och Turkiet klagar på att USA inte gör tillräckligt för att bistå dem. Bland annat uttryckte Erdogan missnöje över att USA vid ett tillfälle bistått de kurdiska grupperna YPG och PYD på marken i Syrien, istället för Turkiet.

Nu menar alltså Erdogan att de har ”säkra bevis”, i form av filmer och bilder på att USA-ledda grupper direkt stöttat IS.

Några sådana bevis presenterades dock inte under presskonferensen och det är oklart om Erdogan planerar att släppa dessa påstådda bevis vid ett senare tillfälle.
