Rome är ett enmansband, bestående av luxemburgaren Jérôme Reuter. Sedan starten 2005 har Rome kommit att bli det kanske mest omtyckta och inflytelserika bandet inom neofolk-genren.

Musikaliskt och tematiskt är det väldigt klassisk neofolk: Militäriska takter, akustiska gitarrer, rötter i europeisk folkmusik och med historiska, eurocentriska och krigiska teman.

Bland Romes mest uppskattade album återfinns exempelvis ”Flowers From Exile” (2009) som handlar om det spanska inbördeskriget mellan bolsjeviker och nationalister. En annan klassiker är ”A Passage To Rhodesia” (2014), som berör den vita Afrika-nationen Rhodesias uppgång och fall.

Veckans låt heter alltså ”One Lion’s Roar” och släpptes ursprungligen som en singel 2018. Låtens text har en klart hierarkisk underton med budskapet att en stark individ kan stå upp emot den fega massan.
