Mozilla ska bekämpa “fake news” tillsammans med George Soros

INTERNET. Mozilla, som ligger bakom webbläsaren Firefox, ska i samarbete med George Soros bekämpa påstådda falska nyheter på internet. Mozillas beslut har lett till omfattande kritik.

Mozilla har i många års tid hyllats för att värna om användarnas integritet när de använder Firefox, till skillnad från exempelvis Google Chrome eller Microsoft Internet Explorer/Edge.

Nu vänder många Mozilla ryggen. Detta för att företaget valt att inleda samarbete med den George Soros-finansierade “faktatjänsten” Full Fact, som beskriver sitt uppdrag som att bekämpa falska nyheter, propaganda och lögner på internet.
