Spotify raderar “vit makt-musik”

CENSUR. Ett 30-tal band som producerar ”vit makt-musik” raderas från Spotify efter händelserna i Charlottesville i USA.

Efter händelserna i Charlottesville i USA tas nu ett 30-tal band bort från Spotify. Enligt en talesperson för företaget är det vanligtvis skivbolagen som ansvarar för vad som finns tillgängligt på tjänsten, men i just detta fall har man valt att radera innehållet.

Southern Poverty Law Center uppmärksammade att flera av banden fanns tillgängliga redan 2014, men vid det tillfället var det bara iTunes som valde att censurera innehållet.

— Olagligt innehåll eller material som uppviglar till hat eller våld gentemot ras, religion, sexualitet eller dylikt tolereras inte på musiktjänsten, skriver talespersonen till DN.
