USA säljer pansarvärnsrobotar till Ukraina

UTRIKES. Det amerikanska utrikesdepartementet har godkänt en försäljning av pansarvärnsrobotar till Ukraina. Affären väntas uppgå till nästan 400 miljoner kronor.

Det handlar om pansarvärnsrobotar av typen FGM-148 Javelin. Sammanlagt 210 Javelin-robotar och 37 Javelin Command Launch Units, plus ytterligare två för reservdelar, ingår i vapenaffären mellan USA och Ukraina.

Affärens värde uppgår till 47 miljoner dollar, motsvarande 387 miljoner kronor, rapporterar Defense News.

I det budgetförslag som den amerikanska kongressen nyligen röstade för ingår en kraftig ökning av resurser till det amerikanska försvaret, och även ett ökat stöd till regimen i Ukraina.
