Iran förnekar motangrepp på Israel

UTRIKES. Iran förnekar att de var de som låg bakom missilattacken mot Israel i veckan. Attacken var ett svar på upprepade israeliska attacker mot iranska mål i Syrien.

Det var under förra veckan som Israel anklagade Iran för att ha bombat det av Israel ockuperade Golanhöjderna i Syrien. Iran förnekar dock att man utförde attacken mot Golanhöjderna.

Bahram Ghasemi, talesperson för det iranska utrikesdepartementet, säger i ett uttalande att det var Syrien som angrep Israel som ett svar på Israels upprepade attacker.

— Den zionistiska regimens frekventa angrepp mot Syrien på grundlösa skäl är ett brott mot Syriens nationella suveränitet och territoriella integritet och i strid med alla internationella lagar och förordningar, sade Bahram Ghasemi, enligt Al Jazeera.

Vidare sa han:

— Iran fördömer starkt Israels attacker mot Syrien. Det internationella samfundets tystnad uppmuntrar Israels aggression. Syrien har all rätt att försvara sig.
