Attack mot polisstationsbygge i Rinkeby

INRIKES. Uppmärksammat bygge av en polisstation i Rinkeby har utsatts för en attack, trots att det är säkerhetsklassat .

Det var vid 01.30 under natten mot tisdag som en grupp på åtta maskerade personer gick till attack mot det pågående bygget av en polisstation i Rinkeby centrum.

– De forcerade grinden in till området där. Sen slängde man sten och smällare mot väktare, sen tände man på bilen och sen stack man som en avlöning, säger Lars Byström, presstalesperson vid polisen i Stockholm, till Metro.

Händelsen utreds av polisens avdelning för grova brott och rubriceras som mordbrand och försök till grov misshandel.

Bygget av polisstationen i Rinkeby har ända sedan planeringsstadiet varit omstritt. Det har exempelvis varit svårt att få tag på någon byggherre på grund av de stora problemen med säkerheten i området.

Till sist tog NCC på sig uppdraget, men bygget beräknas nu bli dubbelt så dyrt jämfört med de ursprungliga planerna. Detta delvis på grund av att bygget är säkerhetsklassat. Något som dock inte verkar ha utgjort något hinder för tisdagsnattens attentatsmän.
