Iran manar till lugn efter Trumps aggressiva hot

UTRIKES. Iran vill att Donald Trump ska tagga ner.

Efter att USA nyligen förstärkt sin militära närvaro nära Iran har relationen länderna emellan blivit allt mer spänd. Som svar på USA:s drag meddelade Iran att de var kapabla att skjuta hangarfartyget USS Abraham Lincoln i sank.

Krigsretoriken nådde nya nivåer när president Donald Trump under gårdagen hotade med att Iran skulle gå under om de någonsin hotade USA igen.

Nu har den islamiska republikens utrikesminister Mohammad Javad Zarif gått till svaromål mot presidenten på Twitter.

Bland annat nämner Zarif att Iran inte kommer att gå under av USA:s allt hårdare ekonomiska sanktioner och folkmordshot. I stället bör Trump börja visa respekt mot andra länder.

USA menar att Iran ”sprider terrorism” över världen medan Iran själva menar att de utsätts av amerikanska påtryckningar bland annat för att de är emot Israel samt för ett samarbete med länder som Kina och Ryssland.
