FAKE NEWS. Ett vida spritt videoklipp från Paris ser ut att visa hur demonstranter mot regeringens politik blir beskjutna av prickskyttar. Av allt att döma är det istället fråga om så kallade flash balls.

En användare på Twitter har laddat upp ett videoklipp som ser ut att visa hur de ”gula västarna” som protesterar mot Emmanuel Macrons politik blir beskjutna av prickskyttar. Dessa skyttar verkar vara placerade på hustak.

Fake News
Enligt insatta kommentatorer är detta dock en misstolkning av bilderna. Högst troligt rör det sig om poliser som skjuter så kallade Flash Balls; ett icke dödande vapen som tillverkas av franska jaktvapentillverkaren Verney-Carron. Vapnet är framtaget som ett alternativ till dödliga skjutvapen, bönpåsevapen och plastkulor för att bekämpa upplopp med mindre fara för de beskjutna.
