Massivt stöd till bötfällda bagare som inte bakar tårtor åt homobröllop

USA. Det blev ett lyckligt slut i nyheten om det amerikanska bagarparet som fick saftiga böter efter att de vägrat att baka tårta till ett homobröllop. Deras böter samlades in av tusentals människor som stod upp mot den sjuka domen.

Aaron och Melissa Klein dömdes till höga böter men har nu fått hjälp att betala sina böter.

Haakon Forwald skrev nyligen en krönika om ett amerikanskt par som driver ett bageri och blev dömda till 135 000 dollar i böter efter att de vägrat att göra en bröllopstårta åt två lesbiska kvinnor.

Berättelsen som såg ut att få ett tragiskt slut har nu dock vänt och blivit en solskenshistoria då en insamlingsaktion till stöd för familjen snabbt lyckades samla in hela bötesbeloppet och mycket mer därtill.

Insamlingen påbörjades på GoFundMe men togs ner från sidan efter påtryckningar från den intoleranta homolobbyn. Hemsidan Continue to Give lät dock insamlingen ligga uppe och där slog också insamlingen rekord.

Totalt stödde över 7 500 personer bagarna som retat upp homolobbyn.
