190 poliser deltog i massiv räd mot islamist i Berlin

TYSKLAND. Under gårdagen genomfördes en massiv polisräd mot en islamist i Berlin. Polisen misstänker att syriern planerade ett terrordåd som skulle ske snart.

Tysk polis genomförde igår en större polisräd mot en misstänkt islamistisk terrorist. 190 poliser deltog under insatsen i Berlin under gårdagen.

Polisen medger att mannen var islamist och att han förberedde ”ett allvarligt brott”. Enligt lokala medier rör det sig om en syrisk man i 20-årsåldern. En tidning skriver att polisen genomförde en husrannsakan i en lägenhet tillhörande den syriska mannen – som misstänks planerat ett terrordåd.

Den tyska åklagarmyndigheten meddelar att misstankarna om ett ”förestående islamistisk bombdåd” inte kunde bekräftas under husrannsakan, men att brottsutrednings fortsättningsvis pågår.

Myndigheterna har haft hög beredskap inför potentiella terrordåd inför julfirandet. År 2016 utsattes Berlin för ett islamistiskt terrordåd då tunisiern Anis Amri plöjde igenom en julmarknad med en lastbil.
