Pro-ryska separatister sköt ihjäl flertalet ukrainska soldater

UKRAINA. Det blev en blodig dag i östra Ukraina när pro-ryska separatister sköt sex stycken ukrainska soldater i de pågående stridigheterna som delar landet i två läger.

Separatister utanför en övertagen polisstation i östra delarna av Ukraina.

Enligt uppgift ska sex ukrainska soldater ha skjutits till döds och åtta skadats under eldstrid med pro-ryska seperatister i de östra delarna av landet. De ukrainska soldaterna färdades i en konvoj när separatisterna, som låg i bakhåll, besköt soldaterna med automatvapen och granatkastare.

— Det användes någon form av tungt vapen mot dem och de blev beskjutna av separatisterna. De första dödades när de blev angripna i detta bakhåll, och de andra i regelrätta strider. Detta visar att situationen skärps betydligt nu, säger Maria Persson Löfgren som är utrikeskorrespondent på Sveriges Radio.

Det ska vara första gången som så många ukrainska soldater dödats sedan stridigheterna började mellan landet och separatisterna, sammanlagt ska hittills nio soldater dödats.
