Trump riktar kritik mot avlägsnandet amerikansk historia

USA. Under gårdagen kommenterade Donald Trump vänsterextremisternas försök att skriva om den amerikanska historien.

Efter demonstrationen i Charlottesville har extremvänstern och så kallade social justice warriors i USA blivit än mer frenetiska med att avlägsna de monument som uppfördes till minne av de sydstadsgeneraler och soldater som stred i det amerikanska inbördeskriget.

Donald Trump har nu kommenterat den röda pöbelns framfart som ivrigt uppmanats av den vänsterliberala pressen. Under torsdagen skrev Trump följande kommentar på Twitter:

Ledsamt att se vårt lands historia och kultur förstöras genom borttagandet av våra underbara statyer och monument. Man kan inte förändra historien men man kan lära sig från den. Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson – vem kommer härnäst, Washington, Jefferson? Så dåraktigt

De flesta av de statyer som extremvänstern nu håller på att förstöra uppfördes mellan 1896 och 1915 och några till monument uppfördes mellan 1955 och 1965.
