Flera anlagda bilbränder i Örebro

BROTT. Flera bilar stacks i brand i Oxhagen i Örebro under natten till torsdagen. Tre bilar totalförstördes och sammanlagt sju eldskadades i branden.

Det var under natten till torsdagen som polis och räddningstjänst fick in ett larm om att ett flertal bilar brann på en parkering i Oxhagen i Örebro. Enligt vakthavande befäl var det då tre bilar som brann kraftigt och elden hade även spridit sig till i ett träd i närheten.

Under torsdagsmorgonen var polisens tekniker på plats vid parkeringen för att undersöka de utbrända bilarna. Polisen inväntar nu resultatet av den tekniska undersökningen.

— Jag kan inte säga hur vi går vidare nu, utan vi måste invänta den tekniska undersökningen, säger Patrik Eck, förundersökningsledare vid polisen i Örebro.

Detta är dock inte första gången som bilbränder har anlagts i Örebro. Under veckan har flera bilbränder inträffat. Bland annat inträffade en misstänkt anlagd bilbrand i måndags i Baronbackarna. Under natten mot torsdagen brann det också i en papperskorg vid Varberga torg och även i en container på Varbergagatan. Om det finns en koppling mellan händelserna är ännu oklart.

— Jag kan varken utesluta eller sätta bilbränderna i Oxhagen i samband med bränderna tidigare i veckan, säger Eck.
