Uppgifter: Israel inblandade i terrormordet på Soleimani

UTRIKES. Enligt uppgifter är israelisk underrättelsetjänst inblandad i USA:s mord på den iranske antiterrorgeneralen Qassem Soleimani.

När den iranske antiterrorgeneralen Qassem Soleimani dödades i en drönarattack utförd av USA i Irak var även Irans ärkefiende Israel inblandade, enligt uppgifter från NBC News.

Detta genom att israelisk underrättelsetjänst bekräftade uppgifter från CIA-informatörer på en flygplats i Damaskus om att Soleimani satt sig på ett flyg mot Irak från Syrien, där han befunnit sig i syfte att hjälpa Syriens regering att besegra islamistiska rebeller i landet. På så sätt kunde amerikanska militären i Irak följa Soleimani ut från flygplatsen i den bilkonvoj som sedermera färdades därifrån för att sedan mörda honom genom att använda drönarmissiler.

Att Israel ska ha varit inblandade i mordet på den iranske generalen är inte helt ologiskt med tanke på den stora fiendskap som råder länderna emellan. Iran erkänner idag inte ens Israel som stat.

Israels korruptionsanklagade premiärminister Benjamin Netanyahu hyllade först USA för terrormordet, för att sedan avsäga sig all inblandning i vad han utåt hävdar är ”en amerikansk händelse”.
